Good Friday on Bayou Corne

Well gents, Ryan and I got up early and made our way west to Bayou Corne on Good Friday. It was absolutely beautiful, and absolutely crowded. It is a good thing that almost all of the boat traffic was headed south to Lake Verret. We made our way north under the bridge and found some fish. We ended up catching a bunch, but only keeping a few. The first two pics are of Ryan's 2 biggestof the day, he gets points for 3 (even though he didn't send pics of all three) because I witnessed all three. The last pic is of all the fish I kept, 2 big bluegill, 1 big goggleye, and 2 small goggleye. I am pretty pumped that I now have points on the board. Check out the point updates to the right, and feel free to comment on any and all posts. If anyone has any updates (with pics) go ahead and send them in for your points.

  1. Boy those are some fine looking fish boys. Jesse and myself have been fishing alot so watch out we will be making a run at the leaderboard soon enough. Haven't been consuming them just stocking the new backyard pond so i they will not count until we fish them back out and eat those farm raised bass.

I am nearing completion of what might possibly be the finest pirague yet. I will send a picture in of this beauty when she is finished this weekend. As the Owner/Head Carpenter of Pirague Petes Vessels i will say save up and get an original before they rank among the finest down the bayou. The make excellent gifts for wives and toddlers. Also Brock and I are thinking of renting a cabin in Grand Isle for Paddle Palooza if anyone is interested?

Good work on the fish lets get some salty's on the board soon.
